OK , i've been proded into action by angiez.

This week's been a busy one, and next week is set to be even busier.

Megumi went on a self declared break, to go to kyoto to look see. She bought back desserts [pic on the left]for us as omiyage. So everyone on our floor who happened to be in our rooms at that time were called out to the kitchen to look at her pictures.

Oieeeeee, another blurry pic... This is Helen from Estonia. Woah. when i manage to take a full body pic of her, i'll show you guys... never seen someone so... well endowed.











This is what's left of the food after we were done... two pieces left for meejeen and chiahan, who were out at that time.








Mm This friday, i went to meetAyako, my soon to be family member- the relationship's a bit complicated, but let's just say she's engaged to my cousin:) She brought me around yokohama... went to see the dock area, the china town area, and then we went to her house for dinner. :) Good food! haha.






THIS is the landmark tower of Yokohama. It's the tallest building in Japan. 69 floors high, and is the guiness world record holder for the fastest elevator. It cam reach speeds of up to 720km per hour. It takes longer to get from the first floor of my hostel to my floor[5th] than it is to get from first floor to 69 floor in landmark tower. Your ear might hurt a little though. The pic was taken at full zoom, from about 200m away from the base of the tower.








There's an observation deck at the top floor. on a clear day you can see mount fuji... but knowing my luck, there happened to be a fog/ cloud right smack in front of the mountain, so all i could make out were vague outlines of the peak. haha. Here's a shot from the observation deck.










here's another shot. the black dots you see are actually people. this was taken at full zoom. If i didnt' zoom in, you wouldn't even see the black dots.

We walked around the bay area. This is an old dock yard, where ships would be repaired. but the area has since been turned in to a shopping/eatery centre.









This is a life size model of a ship. design seems to be rather old... Statue in the foreground is a girl with seagulls.

Took a boat ride. lights were pretty there's a small amusement park nearby, so you can see the light on the ferris wheels.

China town. ... has a very strong japanese flavour... esp with regards to the food.

After CHinatown, we went to Ayako's house for dinner. Here's Ayako with the food. .. and half her mum's in the pic Oops...
